Kristen and Ryan’s North Creek Wedding 2.0

Sometimes you just get lucky. That is how I felt when I met with Kristen and Ryan last year. Lucky.  I knew some good things were in store! Several months after our initial meeting I asked Kristen if she would model for me-I was thrilled when she said yes! I wasn’t sure if I was crossing the “professional” line by asking, but I’m so glad I did! Kristen’s first modeling photo shoot was for Bliss Salon and Sweetleaf boutique. She knocked it out of the park- I knew she had star quality! After working with her, you can only imagine how excited I was for the wedding day! As I learned more about Kristen and Ryan I found out that they have been married for five years! You see, Kristen and Ryan never had a formal wedding. So, five years later they decided to go all out and have the wedding of their dreams! They decided on an Adirondack theme because they love the outdoors and camping. The Copperfield Inn and Resort in North Creek was the perfect location! The drive was beautiful and before I knew it I was dancing all around with my camera!

Kristen bought so many wonderful wedding items from Etsy! I love the bridal hanger, garter, and handmade jewelry! (See below for an entire list of talented Etsy vendors!) If you notice there are five beads on Kristen’s necklace which symbolize the five years Kristen and Ryan have been married! And how adorable is the 4th of July garter!

Loving their invitation!

Here she is….the beautiful bride Kristen!

It was raining buckets in the early afternoon in North Creek-but, thankfully it stopped just in time for a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the Kellogg Property. To watch a sweet video specially made by TWP, click here and scroll to the end of the entry!

Meet the ever-so-handsome groom, Ryan!

Here comes the bride!

I’m loving the sign “Happily Ever After Starts Here”

Kristen and Ryan had a really beautiful ceremony delivered by Mimi Phillips. In lieu of tradition, they had a tree planting ceremony symbolizing Love Grows.

Love this next picture of Ryan’s grandmother and the beautifully design bridal basket carried by Kristen.

Following the ceremony it was time for pictures! I swear I died and went to photographer heaven! I’m not one who likes to announce when I’m proud of my work…but, honestly, I have to say it with this entry. I am so very proud and happy with these images! Truly, some of my all time favorites are in this bunch and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I made a lot of signs for these pictures and they worked out amazing just like I thought! Ok enough talking and onto the pictures!

LOVE!!!

Stunning.

So cute!

I love the little bit of wind that is blowing through Kristen’s hair…

While we were taking pictures a group of rowers emerged from the water next to us and were looking on with big smiles!

Another fabulous sign! Love Birds!

Ryan’s face is priceless!

Ok. Get ready for these next few shots. ALL. TIME. FAVORITES. L.O.V.E.

I can’t take it! So beautiful!!!

Model Bride and Groom.

Naturally, when a rusted car is sitting in a field, I take it’s picture. I swear it was propped for me!

All. Time. Favorite.

Before we knew it, it was time for the reception!

Loving the guest signing tree!

So many details to carry out the Adirondack theme! Love!

One of my favorite things was the game “Mad Libs” at each place setting! Great idea!

Back in October Kristen, Ryan and I had an “I Love You” shoot in lieu of an Engagement session. They had some of theses images framed on each table!

The Copperfield Inn even made the butter look fancy!

Laura, the very talented cake artist from Stomach Cakes, baked this amazing Birch Tree cake!

Gotta love parent dances!

The big hit of the reception was the TWP photo booth! So many great snaps! Thanks Molly for running the booth!

Love this. I had a JCrew catalog and was obsessed with the cover! So Kristen and Ryan decided to copy it! What do you think of our version? Pretty close! So fun!

Overall the day was perfect. And just like our first meeting, I felt so lucky to share in their joy and memories in the making. There were many special moments of the day that stand out-but above all, there was a part in the ceremony that says it all:

“Within each human being there is a spirit, an immaterial essence unique to each individual. Some might call this a soul, others an inner voice, others may give it no name at all. Yet, we all recognize a set of motivating passions, beliefs, impulses, and heartfelt truths, which makeup the person we know as our true self. When two people meet and share their true selves freely, a special union develops. And when it is two naturally kindred spirits who meet, they intuitively recognize each other and their kinship as love.”

Kristen and Ryan, thank you so much for allowing me to share in your love for a day! I wish you all the joy in the world while your love continues to grow in the coming years!
